Hopefully the booking site will be retained by Nat Express (although I think they have a stake in thetrainline - National Express used to own qjump which used to have its own booking engine, but it merged with the Virgin owned trainline and scrapped its own engine). GNER have only just launched the booking engine, it has been in development for a while, before they knew they'd lost the franchise, it looks like they're hoping to make money by licensing the site to other companies to recoup the development cost.
